Pastor David J. DeVries (Chairman)

Dave is the Senior Pastor at Trinity Baptist Church in Fairfield.  Pastor Dave has been serving Trinity for over 30 years, first as a Youth Pastor and then as the Senior Pastor.  Dave has an M.Div. from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and did undergraduate studies in psychology at Barrington College.  Dave serves as Chairman of Renew’s Board of Directors and is on the board of overseers for his denomination, Converge, as well as the Board of Directors at Elim Park Baptist home & Retirement community.

Bob Donovan (Secretary)

Bob is the Director of  Marriage Ministry at Black Rock Church in Fairfield, CT.  Prior to joining BRC, Bob worked as the Senior Director of Learning for Pfizer Global Manufacturing in NYC for 13 years.  Before moving to Pfizer,  he worked at Sikorsky Aircraft for 17 years in various positions in Engineering, Finance, and Human Relations.  Bob has a B.S. from the University of New Haven and an Ed.M. from Boston University.  Bob is married to Karen and has 3 grown daughters – two of whom are married – and one granddaughter.  Bob enjoys most sports along with reading, playing golf, and music.

Alan Phillips

Alan is an Elder at Christ Presbyterian Church in New Haven and has been serving in this capacity over 20 years.  Alan worked for Pfizer, Inc. for 36 years in the Manufacturing Division, most recently as Director of Technical Services.   Prior to joining Pfizer, Alan worked at General Dynamics Electric Boat Division as a Manufacturing Engineer.   Alan has a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from the Univ. of Buffalo and an M.S. in Industrial Engineering from New Jersey Institute of Technology.   He’s currently working on becoming certified as a financial planner.   Alan is married to Ruth and has two grown sons – one of whom is married.   He has two granddaughters.   Alan is retired from his secular employment and enjoys having time to support Renew and the ministries of Christ Presbyterian Church.   He also enjoys sports, gardening, and continuing education.
